ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

Exhibitions

I had the opportunity to exhibit in a few shows during this term.
'Bridges' was a group show at Koppel Collective curated by Xuan Hew, Emma Jordan and Briana Mc Carthy, students from our previous batch. It showed works of 30 artists from 9 different countries exhibing works connecting to their roots, finding memory in home. I had exhibited my work created in the previous unit, 'The Sound of Waves' which spoke of memory, comfort and longing.

Description in mother tongue Konkani.

I was glad to be selected for The Graduate Art Show displaying one of my print works at The Vanner Gallery, Salisbury.
I displayed my etching work 'Room' which was one of my earliest etching works reflecting on longing, identity and memory.

My painting Small Longings was selected for the Official UAL Showcase video (2025–26).

Alongside this, my degree show works: installation 'Tambde Devul' and painting 'Small Longings' was shortlisted for the UAL Archives and Collections as one of the outstanding graduate works. Both works reflect my ongoing inquiry into memory, belonging, and the sensory experience of place.

Over the summer break, I took on a portrait commission for a client who wished to honour his late father, a man who had never travelled outside India. After completing the portrait, the client asked me to capture his father in various locations across London, a gesture that felt like both a homecoming and a migration of memory. Through these images, the father’s presence seemed to traverse borders, symbolically reclaiming spaces he had never reached in life.

Animation

I attempted in animations this unit, trying my sketches and working them out in different ways using Adobe Animate , often like movement through body parts and gestures. The final outputs were were successful with the guidance of a colleague, Kartikay Agarwal.
